In early spring, March, despite the lingering cold winds, the site of the Jiangsu Lianyuan Clean Coal Gasification Project by ZHGAS was bustling with activity. After more than 100 days of design and construction, the project, selected for the "Hongguang Special Projects recently successfully commenced gas supply. On March 8th, a delegation from the Chinese Academy of Sciences' "Hongguang Special Projects" expert group visited and inspected the project.
The "Hongguang Special Projects” primarily addresses major national needs and serves the main battlefield of the national economy. The program prioritizes supporting the transfer and commercialization of major scientific and technological achievements from the Chinese Academy of Sciences' strategic pilot science and technology programs and its affiliated research institutions' "One-Three-Five" initiatives. Through technological integration, engineering development, and market application and promotion, it aims to produce a series of major demonstration and transformation projects with significant economic and social benefits. ZHGAS.'s "Circulating Fluidized Bed Coal Gasification Technology" project was successfully selected for the "Hongguang Special Project," becoming one of the ten chosen projects. The Jiangsu Lianyuan 5000 Nm3/h Coal-to-Clean Industrial Gas Project is a demonstration of this technology applied in practice. ZHGAS established on September 28, 2016, is a high-tech joint venture formed by the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Hefei Chaohu Economic Development Zone Management Committee. It specializes in technology development, design, and engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracting for clean industrial gas/syngas production from coal and biomass. The company's consistent mission is to provide clean and efficient energy to society.
On the afternoon of the same day, the Hongguang Special Projects expert group successively inspected the project's central control room, gasification unit, downstream gasification heating furnace, and forging equipment. The expert group fully affirmed the company's "Circulating Fluidized Bed Coal Gasification Technology." The experts believe that the successful implementation of this project will greatly enhance the widespread application of "Circulating Fluidized Bed Coal Gasification Technology" in the chemical and metallurgical industries, providing a valuable and actively guiding development blueprint for related enterprises.
